Jennifer Smith

Owner

Jennifer Smith opened Mozelle's in September of 2008. As a native of Winston-Salem, she wanted to provide her friends, family and the community a place to enjoy great southern cuisine in a comfortable atmosphere.  Named after and inspired by her Grandmother Mozelle, Jenn has truly created a place patrons remember and return to time and again.  Just as Mozelle would serve up fabulous meals for her family every night, so too does the team at Mozelle's Fresh Southern Bistro.

Steven McPherson

Executive Chef

It seems only appropriate that Mozelle's own grandson, Steven, is Mozelle's Executive Chef.  He began at Mozelle's shortly after attending culinary school.  He eventally moved to Charleston and spent time honing his culinary skills in a city known for its exciting fare.  He returned to Mozelle's and after a time was promoted to Executive Chef.  He always looks forward to enticing Mozelle's patrons with mouth watering specialties and exciting additions to the Mozelle's menu.

Matt Haithcock

Front of the House Manager

Matt is Mozelle's Front of the House Manager. He has been with us since 2011 and his years as a server at Mozelle's make him the perfect person to assist Jennifer in running the show.  The definition of southern charm, he goes out of his way to ensure that every customer and staff member is well taken care of.

Will Forde-Mazrui

Catering Manager; Server

Will's smile and sense of humor are his trademark and patrons just love him! He was the 2013 Runner-up for Smitty's Notes Best of Winston-Salem "Best Server." He is currently the catering manager and is bringing Mozelle's fabulous food and flair to your home or office! 

Aaron Denton

Assistant Manager and Computer Nerd Extraodinaire

Aaron has been with us since we opened in September 2008! He is one of Winston's favorite servers and we literally would not know how to fix the printers.....or anything else without him.  His colorful demeanor and the exuberance with which he describes daily specials bring new meaning to the phrase "taking in dinner and a show."

Holly Ratcliff

Server

Holly has been an important part of the Mozelle's team since 2012.  We are so happy she is back from maternity leave. She's a breath of fresh air and customers love her authentic southern charm!

Kyle Sartor

Server

Kyle has been at Mozelle's since 2011.  He is quite the charmer and is a cool cucumber under the pressure of our often jam packed Friday and Saturday nights!

Antawn Hairston

Cook

Lovingly known to the Mozelle's team as "Lala," he keeps everyone laughing and helps us create delicious food! You MUST try Lala's Nutella Hazlenut Cheesecake with Chocolate Pecan Topping!

Chris Foster

Cook

We are happy to have Chris back at Mozelle's.  He was one of the original kitchen crew and though he left for a bit he's back where he belongs!

Garlon Ball

Garlon has become a mainstay on our line since joining us during the Summer of 2013!  Come and enjoy some of his very imaginative and delicious sauce creations!

Josh Talley

Server

Josh has been a member of our team intermittently since the beginning and is a member of our original crew! He is always eager to fulfill all your tableside needs. Super friendly and attentive, hes a dedicated Mozelle's fixture.

Jenny Carfora

Server

Jenny started in November 2013.  As a former wine rep and coutry club server, her upbeat attitude and conversational skills are sure to improve your dining experience!

Brooke Brayboy

Brooke started with us in Fall of 2013.  Fresh from school, her sass, salad and apps will keep you coming back!

Nichole Smith

Server

Nichole joined the ranks of our talented servers in March.  Welcome Nichole! Her years of fine dining experience and her easygoing nature are sure to make her a great addition to our staff.
